Equipping churches and believers to transform communities through worship, discipleship, and missions

Supporting Your Ministry

The Mid-State Baptist Association offers comprehensive support across multiple ministry areas to strengthen churches and develop leaders

Builders for Christ is a volunteer construction ministry that helps churches and Christian organizations build facilities throughout Georgia and other states. The group consists of men and women from association churches who donate their time and skills to construction projects.

Services Provided

Our skilled volunteers handle light gauge steel framing, wood framing, brick veneer masonry, roofing, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, drywall, and painting.

How It Works

Each project includes a Project Team Leader, Construction Leader, Safety Coordinator, and Kitchen Coordinator. Volunteers cover their own expenses (fuel, food, lodging), while host churches are responsible for land acquisition, materials, permitting, and design costs.

"There is a job for everyone with a servant heart and willing hands."

Women's Missions

The Women's Missions Organization brings together ladies from multiple churches to collaborate on outreach initiatives and missionary activities throughout the year.

Key Activities

  • International student outreach
  • Weekly sewing ministry
  • Mission information meetings and lunches
  • Educational and discipleship programs for all ages

How to Get Involved

Contact your local pastor or reach out to the Mid-State Baptist Association directly. We encourage churches without existing women's mission groups to establish their own, with support available from denominational leadership.

Visitor Feedback Ministry

Trained visitors attend your church's Sunday services and provide constructive feedback on the visitor experience. This assessment helps churches identify strengths and opportunities for improvement in welcoming newcomers.

What We Evaluate

  • Website accessibility and accuracy
  • First impressions: signage, greeters, maps, and brochures
  • Sunday School experience and member participation
  • Fellowship opportunities and future contact invitations
  • Facility cleanliness (classrooms, restrooms, children's areas)
  • Worship service transitions and social connections
  • Children's ministry safety and organization

Churches can customize the evaluation questions to focus on their specific priorities and concerns.

Association Mission Internships

The Mid-State Baptist Association develops future leaders by investing in college students, seminary students, and others interested in serving and strengthening local churches.

Training Components

  • Weekly staff meetings and mentorship
  • Hands-on serving in local churches
  • Researching church health and best practices
  • Writing Bible study materials
  • Teaching and leadership opportunities
  • Guided reading and scripture memory

The Storehouse

The Storehouse is a community food assistance program operated by Baptist churches within the Mid-State Baptist Association. Participating churches provide weekly support to families experiencing food insecurity in the area.

How to Contribute

Churches and individuals can participate in two ways. Churches may request member contributions of canned goods once or twice annually through donation drives. Churches can also allocate monthly funds to the Association, which then distributes resources to participating food ministries.

Needed Items

  • Canned proteins (meat, tuna, chicken, Vienna sausage)
  • Canned vegetables (corn, tomatoes, beans)
  • Canned fruits and soups
  • Pasta products (macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, lasagna)
  • Pantry staples (rice, peanut butter)
  • Fresh produce from gardens

Churches collect and transport donated food items to distribution points. The initiative welcomes both commercially canned goods and homegrown fresh produce, making it easy for anyone to participate.
